Things we liked about the TX-L42E30B:

I recently upgraded to this 42 inch TV from my old Panasonic 32 inch, and so far I have been really pleased with the TX-L42E30B, despite initial concerns from a few reviews, I am really glad I looked at the 4 and 5 star reviews. This TV blows all my recent TV purchases out of the water when it comes to value for money.

• There are Several things we like about the TX-L42E30B firstly, the wide variety of content available on VIERA Connect which we have mentioned above.
• Secondly the clear and sharp picture and ease of set up which Panasonic is so often associated with. Some people have had problems in the past with back light bleeding but when i purchased this i never had this problem, Panasonic has since updated the TV, and fixed this issue.
• When I took the TX-L42E30B out of the box i found that it was solid, but very easy to lift and move around. One things for sure you wont have much trouble lifting the TX-L42E30B onto a stand or table.
• The high definition features on theTX-L42E30Bare excellent, which we used on (freeview built in HD). It should also be noted that the standard definition is also great quality.
• The TX-L42E30B is a flat screen, i find that TV’s that take up so little room are the one’s to look out for, this one in particular will be a fine addition to any modern home.
• Another thing I Like about the TX-L42E30Bis once I plugged in my surround sound system the sound quality was amazing, it is NOT one of those TV’s which you have to turn up to volume 75 to get that feeling of being there in the movie with the actors in that moment, you can achieve that with this one on a much lower volume. If you really want to get the most out of the TX-L42E30B audio buy a surround system if you do not already own one, it is well worth the money and increases viewing experience ten-fold.
• The TV is a perfect addition for a family home, my younger brother and sister love to play the games on the interactive VIERA Connect section.
• The ability to stream HD programmes from the internet like the BBCi player is a great feature, it is also possible to connect the TV to youtube and many other video sharing websites with ease.
• It is possible to record your favourite sport, TV, music and other content onto a USB drive. The recordings are easily manageable through VIERA’s remote control. Rewinding TV programme’s via Rew live TV function on the external USB is also possible incase you missed the favourite part of your programme due to a tea break! All this will make sure you will not miss a important moment on your TV again.

Things we did not like about the TX-L42E30B:

There were a few minor things that i did not like when i first purchased the TV these were:

• The audio on the TX-L42E30Bwas not quite as good as what I was hoping for, but once I connected my surround sound speakers this issue was instantly solved.
• The TV came with a faulty remote, it would only let me access certain features, it seems that it was damaged while being delivered to me, I sent the remote back to replace and this was the second issue solved.
• The back light seems to get darker in places at the bottom of the picture over time nothing major but enough to notice it if you are standing a couple of feet away, from a seated position while watching, I do not notice it.
• In the past there was a back light bleed issue, which caused many users to give bad reviews, Panasonic have since updated the TX-L42E30B and the issue has been fixed, if it was not for the early reviews I would give this product a solid 5 stars for quality and value for money.

Is the TX-L42E30B worth the money? The TX-L42E30B for me is definitely worth the money. It is a great looking TV that would not look out of place in any living room. Its ease of use, and wide variety of features far outweigh any negatives that I have encountered. This is definitely one of the best LED TV’s i have come accross, the picture is crisper and has a better quality about it. The TX-L42E30B ticks all the boxes for me. The sound is good the picture is good and the power is low! Panasonic has once again proven its worth to me, im glad I purchased the TX-L42E30B and I would advise anyone looking for a HD TV to buy this product too. I will most definitely be purchasing my next TV from them in the future.
